The Bach Flower Therapy was founded in 1930 by the Welsh physician Edward Bach (1886-1936), who was a pioneer of psychosomatic therapy. He studied Hahnemann's Homeopathy intensely and was especially intrigued by the psychological components of diseases. He described 38 different emotional states and assigned a specific flower to each one of those. Bach imagined disease as the result of a conflict, which originated in character weaknesses like for instance hatred, pride, insecurity, fear or greed.
Bach Flower therapy can be added to the treatment protocol of any psychosomatic ailment, like stomach, heart or back problems. It is a valuable aid in all negative emotional states like fear, grief, depression, rage, moodiness, impatience, just to mention a few. Bach flowers can also be used as a first-aid approach, if there are accidents, shocks or exams. Bach Flower therapy can basically be accompanying any treatment, because I believe that an emotional component plays a part in every disease.
Bach Flower therapy does not have any known side-effects.
